February 22 (Renewables Now) - Chinese solar products maker JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) announced on Thursday it has delivered 48.3 MW of PERC modules for a photovoltaic (PV) plant in Vietnam.

The BP Solar 1 PV Power Plant is the country's first solar facility that uses PERC modules, JA Solar said.

Local renewable energy firm Bac Phuong Joint Stock Company was in charge of the development and construction of the PV farm, which is located in Ninh Thuan province.

The PV facility is expected to produce 80 million kWh per year and has the ability to offset some 79,760 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually. BP Solar was successfully connected to the national grid and put into operation last month.
