Italian Enertronica wins order for 10 MW solar plant in South Africa

Aug 1, 2013 - Italy-based Enertronica SpA (BIT:ENT), a company operating in the photovoltaic and lighting sectors, today said it had won its first contract in South Africa for the supply of anchor systems for a 10 MW solar plant.
The contract, which Enertronica signed through its subsidiary Enertronica SA Pty Ltd, is worth EUR 1 million (USD 1.3m), a statement read.
The order has been awarded by an Italian engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) leading company and should be completed by the end of the autumn of 2013, Enertronica said.
The recently received order is part of the company's internationalisation activities envisaged in its industrial plan, Enertronica chief executive Stefano Plocco commented. It demonstrates that the separation with engineering group Gefran SpA (BIT:GE) and the setting up of the South African subsidiary have had no negative effects, Plocco added.
