Isolux Corsan to build 100 MW wind power park in Argentina

Oct 4, 2011 - Spanish engineering and construction company Isolux Corsan plans to build a 100 MW wind power park, comprising Loma Blanca 1 and 3 plants, in Argentina's southern Chubut province, state news agency Telam reported yesterday.
According to sector reports, Isolux Corsan has completed a financial restructuring that envisages a USD 103 million (EUR 78.2m) debt issue, in order to finance the 50 MW Loma Blanca 1 plant. In turn, the 50 MW Loma Blanca 3 will be kicked off thanks to funding from Andean Development Corporation (CAF).
Now, Isolux Corsan is awaiting for final approval by local securities market regulator CNV and Buenos Aires stock exchange to start the issue and then it will launch the works in Chubut, Juan Carlos de Goycoechea, the president of Isolux Corsan's Argentinean unit, explained yesterday.
Loma Blanca wind park will be built 42 km (26 miles) north of Puerto Madryn, where it will be connected to the national interconnected system.
