Isofoton to deliver 50 MW photovoltaic panels to USA
(ADPnews) - Oct 15, 2010 - Spanish solar cell and module maker Isofoton confirmed it would supply photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 50 MW to the Turning Point Solar project, to be built in Ohio, the USA.
Isofoton will also open a new manufacturing plant in Ohio to meet the growing demand of solar modules there. The production facility will start operation at the end of 2011.
Turning Point Solar, in turn, if operating today, would be the largest photovoltaic solar facility in the USA.
Isofoton's new strategy backed up by EUR 50 million (USD 70.5m) plans to raise its current 100 MW capacity to 230 MW in 2011 and to 512 MW in 2012. China and the USA are its target markets.
