Invenergy LLC has completed project financing for its 50-MW Luning Solar Energy Center in Nevada, the Chicago-based clean energy company said on Thursday.
The project is currently under construction and once completed will be sold to Liberty Utilities.
The construction financing was lead arranged by Natixis and NORD/LB New York Branch, with the former also acting as administrative agent and proving a letter of credit facility in support of the deal.
Invenergy held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project in April.
The facility is located on public lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Luning, Mineral County. It will consist of more than 200,000 solar modules and is expected to become operational in early 2017.
The US unit of Germany's Phoenix Solar AG (ETR:PS4) has been contracted to build the solar array.
