Spanish start-up Matteco is preparing to open in the second quarter of this year a 1-GW factory for catalysts and electrodes for green hydrogen production, which rely on non-platinum group metal (non-PGM) materials and are designed to improve the efficiency of electrolysers, chief executive Iker Marcaide told Renewables Now in an interview.
