Land and cost are the common constraints for the deployment of large-scale thermal projects, said Rod MacGregor, founding CEO and President of GlassPoint, a US developer that has so far deployed more than half of all the solar steam for industry in the world. The company sees large opportunities in the market and is preparing to unveil a major partnership that will allow it to charge for steam as a service, eliminating the capital investment from customers.
