Inovateus Solar to construct 500-kW solar plant for McElroy Metal
Oct 1, 2013 - US solar systems integrator Inovateus Solar LLC will this week start building a 500-kW rooftop solar plant in Georgia orf roofing systems maker McElroy Metal.
The photovoltaic (PV) facility, to be installed on McElroy Metal's factory in the city of Peachtree, Georgia, will include a rooftop system and a canopy in the parking lot, Inovateus Solar said on Monday. The facility is planned to be put on stream by Christmas.
McElroy Metals has 12 production sites in the US. It has been collaborating with Inovateus Solar for the manufacturing of ready-to-install solar panels integrated into steel panel systems. In addition, it offers solar packs with the metal roofs it sells. The 500-kW solar installation at its plant will be constructed under the Medium Scale Georgia Power Advanced Solar Initiative Programme.
