Spanish electrical engineering company Ingeteam SA announced today it has inked an agreement to supply 500 MW of its specialised components to Matrix Renewables for photovoltaic (PV) plants in Spain.
The equipment will be delivered to the Madrid-based renewable energy platform in 2023 for an undisclosed amount.
Ingeteam, which produces solar inverters and converters and Indar generators for the wind industry, said that the components will equip a total of seven solar plants located in Castile and Leon, Andalusia and the Community of Madrid.
This is the second time the two companies ink a supply agreement, following a deal tied to a PV project in El Rocio, Huelva. According to Matrix Renewables' website, El Rocio is comprised of three solar farms with a combined capacity of 128 MWp.
Ingeteam noted the new transaction is part of Matrix Renewables' portfolio of central inverter projects, which the firm is looking to develop in the coming year.
