October 29 (Renewables Now) - Indian solar module maker Waaree Energies Ltd on Friday unveiled a contract for the construction of a 60-MW photovoltaic (PV) park in Vietnam’s Khanh Hoa province.

Apart from delivering engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, Waaree Energies will supply mono-crystalline modules and will also operate and maintain the solar park, once completed. The project is being developed on a turnkey basis, in cooperation with an unnamed utility-scale provided, the Indian firm said.

The 60-MW solar farm will operate under a feed-in tariff (FiT) contract, generating around 106,000 kWh of electricity per year. The project has already secured approval by EVN, the Vietnamese state grid operator.

Waaree Energies, the flagship company of India’s Waaree Group, has a solar project pipeline of 350 MW. According to the statement, it is working on a pipeline of 100 MW, to be executed over the next six months globally, and has an additional 250 MW of projects at home.
