Indian govt, Delhi Technological Uni to launch renewables research, education programmes

(SeeNews) - May 24, 2012 - India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy on Tuesday said its research and development institution Solar Energy Centre (SEC), the government of India, and Delhi Technological University (DTU) had agreed to provide joint research and education programmes in the renewable energy sector.

The parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which envisages the launch of joint programmes including master tech thesis supervision and practical courses, PhD programme, refresher courses for the industry, conferences, symposiums and workshops.

A Joint Academic Interface Committee will be formed to implement the programmes.
