(SeeNews) - Nov 6, 2014 - US semiconductor materials and solar energy firm SunEdison Inc (NYSE:SUNE) today reported a third-quarter net loss of USD 283.4 million (EUR 226.5m), widening from USD 108 million a year back.<br /><br /> This translated into a loss per share of USD 1.06, versus earnings per share of USD 0.47 in the third quarter of 2013. The company, formerly known as MEMC Electronic Materials Inc, explained that the bottom line result includes USD 100.4 million in long-lived asset impairments. Marketing and administration were also higher than a year back.
