(SeeNews) - Nov 5, 2013 - Hydrous ethanol prices at Brazil's fuel stations fell in 15 states and in the federal district of Brasilia and rose in 11 states in the four weeks ended November 2, according to data released by Brazil's oil industry watchdog ANP.<br /> In the week ended November 2, hydrous ethanol prices dropped in 12 states, grew in 10 states and remained stable in four states and in Brasilia.<br /> In Sao Paulo, the largest ethanol consuming state, the price of ethanol remained unchanged at BRL 1.8 (USD 0.8/EUR 0.6) per litre. In the month ended November 2, it has accumulated a 0.91% rise.<br /> The price of ethanol in the Parana state registered the largest hike of 3.04% in the week ended November 2, while the largest decrease of 0.93% was registered in Bahia state.<br /> Last week ethanol continued to be more competitive than petrol (gasoline) only in the states of Goias, Mato Grosso, Parana and Sao Paulo states. In the remaining 22 states and in Brasilia, the petrol's prices were more competitive, ANP noted.
