March 29 (Renewables Now) - Hydrogen Future Industries Plc (AQSE:HFI) has set up a new subsidiary to develop wind and water-based hydrogen production systems with hydrogen compression and storage capabilities.

The goal is to develop “potentially game-changing” technologies which can cut the cost of green hydrogen production. The new unit – HFI Energy Systems Ltd – will also seek to make on-demand energy storage in different locations possible at a cost that is much lower than lithium-ion battery storage.

Timothy Blake, who has significant experience with efficient turbine systems development, will be CEO of the new company.
