Helios Energy Europe mulls over plant construction - report
Jul 16, 2012 - Spanish solar panels maker Helios Energy Europe considers investing between EUR 5 million (USD 6.12m) and EUR 6 million to build a plant, as part of its efforts to boost expansion abroad.
The location of the new facility is still not determined, general director Benigno Moreno told news agency Alimarket today.
Helios Energy Europe plans to set foot in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, where it expects a serious growth in demand as of 2013, Moreno added.
The company managed to lift the stake of exports to 90% in 2011, with Benelux, the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Greece being the main sales destinations.
Helios Energy Europe reported revenues of EUR 25 million in 2011, down by 19% year-on-year.
The solar panels producer currently operates four plants in Spain, the USA, Canada and France.
