January 14 (Renewables Now) - Investment management firm Harrison Street has bought a 101.9-MW commercial and industrial (C&I) solar portfolio in the US from renewables developer Ecoplexus.

The assets that were part of the deal come from the vendor’s own distributed generation (DG) portfolio in California and its community solar garden bundle in Minnesota. Together, they produce 142 kWh of electricity per year.

The transaction expands Harrison Street’s renewables portfolio to more than 337 MW. The assets within that portfolio have a weighted average contract duration of about 16 years, the company noted.
