Hanwha SolarOne to equip 17 MW of solar farms in US
Oct 21, 2014 - China’s Hanwha SolarOne Co Ltd (NASDAQ:HSOL) said today it will supply 17 MW of its solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to US power producer O2 Energies Inc for three projects in the US state of North Carolina.
The Chinese firm has started shipping its equipment for the Cirrus, Chocowinity and Rockwell solar parks. Construction has already kicked off at all three sites and they are expected to commence operations in December.
The deals include Hanwha SolarOne’s new S Series modules, which have obtained the free-of-potential-induced-degradation (PID) and the 1000-V Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certifications. The two companies did not disclose any financial details around the orders.
O2 Energies has developed over 80 MW of solar systems across the southeastern US.
