Hanwha SolarOne nabs 20-MW module order from Hong Solar
Dec 4, 2014 - China’s Hanwha SolarOne Co Ltd (NASDAQ:HSOL) said today it will supply 20 MW of its photovoltaic (PV) modules to Hong Solar Co Ltd for a power project in Inner Mongolia.
The solar park, located in the city of Baotou, will use Hanwha SolarOne’s E-star panels. Equipment shipments kicked off in November and are expected to conclude by the end of the year. The Chinese firm did not disclose any details around the project.
Hanwha SolarOne aims to further increase its market share in China in the fourth quarter of the year, as well as in 2015, after domestic shipments surged by 400% quarter-on-quarter in July-September, CFO Jay Seo noted Wednesday. Equipment orders for Chinese PV schemes accounted for 30% of the company’s third-quarter sales.
Hong Solar is a renewable energy-focused investment company. It provides financing, development and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services, as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) for such facilities and research and development (R&D) for green technologies.
