Hanergy Thin Film Power Group Ltd (HKG:0566), which recently launched on the market a solar-powered wall for the building-integrated PV (BIPV) segment, is now introducing the product to Australia through a newly-appointed distributor.
Hanergy announced yesterday a new partnership with Australian sustainable energy environmental solutions provider Environmental Technology Solutions (ETS), with an agreement under which ETS becomes a leading distributor in Australia of Hanergy's HanWall.
The two companies will initiate several projects together covering over 30,000 square meters area and aiming to provide 4.3 MW of electricity in Australia, with a target of USD 5.4 million (EUR 4.66m) in annual sales. The partnership with ETS is the first strategic cooperation agreement for HanWall following its global launch.
The HanWall uses CIGS solar cell technology and is developed to allow skyscrapers to independently generate power. Hanergy claims that every 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq ft) of HanWall incorporated into the south facade of a building in Beijing can produce 326 kW of power per day. The company guarantees no less than 85% output for 25 years.
ETS has invested in over 20 large BIPV projects in Australia. As part of the cooperation with Hanergy, the company seeks to expand its markets to mainland China.
