Alternative asset manager Gresham House Plc (LON:GHE) has acquired a 20-MW solar project in the UK from renewables developer Anesco, marking the fourth transaction under a 200-MW partnership between the two companies.
Gresham House has now bought the Beavor Grange solar project near Axminster in Devon after previously acquiring two 20-MW solar farms in Gloucestershire and Derbyshire, as well as the 50-MW Low Farm in Lincolnshire.
Beavor Grange is a 28-hectare development that, once completed, will be able to produce enough power to supply some 5,000 homes. Construction work on the project is seen to start early next year and last around 34 weeks.
“Beavor Grange is the fourth large-scale solar project we have progressed to the investment-ready stage for Gresham House, and we will be continuing to add to that total very soon,” commented Sarah Webb, Business Development Director at Anesco.
The partnership between Gresham House and Anesco was announced in early 2021. It involves the development and construction of more than GBP-100-million (USD 121.4m/EUR 118m) worth of ground-mounted solar parks over a period of three years.
