June 28 (Renewables Now) - GreenGo Energy Group A/S has teamed up with Danish utility Hofor on the financing and construction of a 29-MWp solar farm in Denmark, the company said last week.

The solar farm, dubbed Mermaid M12, will generate 37 GWh of power a year, enough to supply over 9,000 homes with power. The facility will be located in the town of Fjerritslev and the project already has a zoning permit and a building permit from Jammerbugt municipality. An EU tender for the solar farm's final design and construction is underway.

Construction is expected to begin in the autumn of 2021, with the solar farm to be completed a year later.

GreenGo has a pipeline of over 5,000 MW of solar and energy storage projects in various stages of development across the US and Scandinavia.
