Germany’s Greencells GmbH has finalised the construction of 152 MWp of solar parks in the Netherlands on behalf of China’s Chint Solar.
The solar plant builder and operation and maintenance (O&M) provider said on Tuesday that the three photovoltaic (PV) plants in the portfolio were completed on time, in spite of the challenging environment created by the COVID-19 health and financial crisis.
Greencells entered the Dutch market in 2018. Its first order in the country covered the construction of a 103-MWp solar park in Midden-Groningen. So far, the company has realised around 332 MWp of projects there, either independently or in cooperation. "For 2021 alone, we already have contractually secured orders for a total capacity of more than 70 MWp in the Netherlands," said CEO Andreas Hoffmann.
Separately, Greencells said it is offering a secured 6.5% green bond 2020-2025 that is open for subscription until December 7, 2020. It, however, did not specify its plans about the use of the proceeds.
