Nov 13, 2012 - US carbon-based product maker GrafTech International Ltd (NYSE:GTI) on Tuesday unveiled plans to sell USD 300 million (EUR 236.5m) of unsecured senior notes in a private offering, aimed at refinancing a current debt facility.
The notes mature in 2020 and will be guaranteed on a senior basis by the company's existing and future subsidiaries. They will be sold to institutional investors, GrafTech said.
GrafTech makes high-quality synthetic and natural graphite and carbon based products for the steel, electronics and other industries. It also supplies carbon products for fuel cells and provides services to the solar power, power generation, oil and gas and other markets.
