Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 23-27)
May 27, 2022 17:26 CESTJanuary 18 (Renewables Now) - Gonvarri Solar Steel, a division of Spanish steel and aluminium processing company Gonvarri Industries, said today it will supply more than 33 MW of fixed solar structures for a photovoltaic (PV) project in Japan.
Specifically, the Spanish company is supplying its RackSmarT model to an unnamed project located in the Japanese town of Kagoshima, south of the island of Kyushu. The name of the firm that placed the order was not disclosed either.
The project will be executed during the first quarter of the year, Gonvarri pointed out in the press release.
To date, Gonvarri Solar Steel has supplied more than 13 GW of equipment around the world, including over 400 MW in Japan alone, the company added.
Gonvarri Solar Steel designs, supplies and installs trackers and fixed structures for the solar PV market.
