Goldwind breaks ground on 20-MW wind park in Montana
Oct 19, 2012 - Chinese wind turbine maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (SHE:002202, HKG:2208) on Thursday held a groundbreaking ceremony at a 20-MW wind power project in Montana, local media reported.
The Musselshell project, divided into two 10-MW wind turbine installations, is to consist of 14 wind turbines located in Shawmut. The wind park is to generate enough power to supply 5,000 households.
Tim Rosenzweig, the chief executive of Goldwind USA, said the electricity produced at the wind farm was to be sold to local utility NorthWestern Energy under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
The wind park is expected to be put online by the end of 2012.
