Gigastorage to pour up to USD 24m in solar wafer capacity

(ADPnews) - Sep 30, 2010 - Taiwanese compact-discs maker Gigastorage Corp (TPE:2406) said yesterday it intended to spend as much as TWD 750 million (USD 24m/EUR 17.6m) on new solar-cell wafers production facilities, seeking to raise its production capacity.

Funding for the projects will come from available cash and syndicated debt facilities, the company said.
