GES to install 90 MW of wind turbines in Mexico

GES installation works in Mexico

September 4 (Renewables Now) - Global Energy Services (GES), a Spanish construction company that serves the wind and solar sectors, said on Tuesday it was awarded a turbine installation job for a 90-MW wind farm in Mexico.

The order came from Chinese wind turbine and intelligent energy software company Envision Energy. This is the second time the two parties are working together on this kind of project in Mexico.

GES will be in charge of the installation of 36 wind turbines with 2.5 MW of individual capacity, including labour and cranes. A total of 50 people will be employed simultaneously for an estimated period of five months. The wind farm will be built in the region of the Yucatan Peninsula.

With these new additions, GES exceeds 2.5 GW of installed wind in Mexico. Last year alone, it added 470 MW.
