December 7 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Federal Network Agency on Thursday launched the latest energy tenders in the country, seeking 700 MW of onshore wind and 200 MW of solar power capacity.

The agency, also known as the Bundesnetzagetur (BNetzA), capped the bid price for the onshore wind tender at EUR 63.00 (USD 74.3) per MWh. It noted that the volume available to projects in northern Germany is restricted to 197.3 MW.

For the solar tender, the agency set the maximum price at EUR 88.4/MWh.

The deadline to make bids as part of both tenders is February 1, 2018. BNetzA noted that these two particular auctions are separate, but a combined one for both onshore wind and solar will be conducted on April 1, 2018.
