Solar power systems with a total capacity of 435 MW and 142 MW of onshore wind turbines were installed in Germany in July, data published by the Federal Network Agency shows. While solar power continued to expand at a faster pace in July, with new capacity installations exceeding the levels from the previous two months, newly deployed wind power slowed down, falling from 189 MW in June. The bulk of the new solar capacity, or 308.8 MW, featured plants connected to the grid outside of EEG tenders. Of these, only 10.2 MW were ground-mounted systems.Since the start of 2021, Germany has added almost 3.19 GW of solar and some 1.16 GW of onshore wind capacity, while new biomass plants totalled 33.6 MW.<table border="1" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1">
