March 30 (Renewables Now) - Wind and solar projects with a combined capacity of 452 MW have been successful in the March tenders in Germany, updates by the Federal Network Agency, also known as the Bundesnetzagetur (BNetzA), show.
Because of the coronavirus crisis and its impact on supply chains and project implementation, the agency will wait for the situation to normalise before publishing officially the award decision. This way it will not trigger certain project deadlines. The bidders in the two tenders will be informed of the results individually.
As in many previous tenders for onshore wind, this one too was undersubscribed, while the interest in solar remains very strong. The table contains details.
|March tender volume||300 MW||300 MW|
|Awarded bids (capacity)||301.2 MW||150.9 MW|
|Awarded bids (number)||51||21|
|Lowest bid value (EUR cents/kWh)||4.64||5.74|
|Highest bid value (EUR cents/kWh)||5.48||6.20|
|Average bid value (EUR cents/kWh)||5.18||6.07|
|Tender cap (EUR cents/kWh)||7.5||6.20|
BNetzA will be holding the next tenders according to plan.
