German Roth & Rau sells CTF Solar

Aug 24, 2011 - German photovoltaic (PV) technology firm Roth & Rau (ETR:R8R) sold its subsidiary Roth & Rau CTF Solar GmbH to an unnamed Chinese investor in line with its new strategy to focus on equipment business.

Both parties decided to remain silent on the price of the deal.

Thanks to the sale Roth & Rau exited the production of thin film solar modules on a cadmium telluride basis (CdTe).
