(SeeNews) – Oct 4, 2012 – German Enfo AG and Airport Development Neuhardenberg A/S announced that the construction of their 145 MW solar park in Brandenburg, Germany, has been completed in just five weeks.
The EUR-200-million (USD 259m) plant is to be connected to the grid and brought to operation by the end of 2012, the companies said in the invitation for the official opening of the project, which took place on Wednesday.
The plant is expected to be producing enough electricity to supply 48,000 households with clean energy, Airport Development Neuhardenberg estimated.
The plant consists of more than 600,000 solar modules produced by companies such as LDK Solar (NYSE:LDK), Yingli Solar (NYSE:YGE), Trina Solar (NYSE:TSL), SUNTECH (NYSE:STP), TEC and Talesun.
