GD Power, Hareon Solar to jointly develop 69 MW of projects in China
Sep 18, 2012 - Four units of Chinese utility GD Power Development Co Ltd (SHA:600795) and crystalline silicon products maker Hareon Solar Technology Co (SHA:600401) have agreed to form joint ventures to develop 69 MW of solar power plants in China.
Each of the units GD Qinghai New Energy Development, GD Xinjiang New Energy Development, GD Gansu New Energy Development and GD Inner Mongolia New Energy Development, will hold 65% in its joint entity with Hareon Solar, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported today, citing a company announcement.
The solar projects planned by GD Power and Hareon Solar will cost CNY 994.7 million (USD 157.3m/EUR 120m).
They will be located in the Qinghai province, Gansu province, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Only the Inner Mongolia project has not yet been approved by the local development and reform commissions.
