Gas Natural Fenosa to build USD 400m wind park in Mexico - report

Sep 9, 2011 - Spanish energy holding Gas Natural Fenosa (MCE:GAS) will build a USD 400 million (EUR 291.2m) wind park in Mexico's southern state of Oaxaca, Omar Guillen, responsible for Gas Natural's special projects was quoted as saying by Mexican daily El Financiero yesterday.

The investment value, however, is not definite and the company has not decided on the timing of the start of the construction works yet.

The project, which is in an engineering design phase, will have a capacity of 230 MW.

Guillen noted also that the company continues to analyse the construction of a similar park in Mexico City.

The executive spoke after he took part in the forum Energy efficiency in Mexico City: challenges and opportunities.
