Weekly renewables M&A round-up (May 16-20)
May 20, 2022 17:01 CESTNovember 10 (Renewables Now) - Solar tracking systems maker FTC Solar (NASDAQ:FTCI) said on Tuesday it has received a contract to deliver equipment for a 504-MW DC solar project in Arizona.
The order was placed by Moss Solar, which is acting as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the project. Its value remained under wraps.
Under the deal, the Austin, Texas-based FTC Solar will deliver its 2P Voyager+ trackers for a solar-plus-storage complex in Maricopa County. According to FTC Solar, the particular tracking technology optimises the energy capture while reducing man-hours and equipment required for installation.
Construction works on the project are due to begin in the first quarter of next year, while the complex is planned to enter commercial operations in 2023.
The photovoltaic (PV) park will be coupled with 260 MW of battery storage systems.
