French Mersen controls 100% in Chinese Mingrong Electrical Protection

(ADPnews) - May 31, 2011 - French graphite and electrical components maker Mersen (EPA:CRL) said yesterday it had acquired the remaining stake in Chinese fuse maker Mingrong Electrical Protection (MEP) and now controls 100% in its capital.
No financial details were disclosed.
Mersan has held a 51% stake in the Chinese company since 2008.
MEP has contributed to the growth of Mersen's sales abroad and particularly in China, thanks to the joint marketing of complementary products and to an increased commercial presence of Chinese distributors and equipment manufacturers.
The acquisition of MEP's entire capital would speed up synergies by strengthening operating efficiency and competitiveness, Mersen said.
Mersen plans to develop MEP's activity in the sectors of energy efficiency and renewable energies.
