The French Ministry of Ecological Transition this week announced 71 winners in its PPE2 tender for ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with an average proposed price of EUR 58.84 (USD 65.23) per MWh.
This is the first ground-mounted solar tender round under France’s new PPE2 programme, which seeks to allocate almost 29 GW of renewable power generation capacity through 2026. It awarded 705 MWp across the 71 projects, against 700 MWp called, advisory Finegreen calculates.
The average tariff shows a rise of 7.1% compared to the final of the predecessor CRE4 tenders last year, said Finegreen, which made some adjustments to compare similar project categories and notes that new PPE2 tender specifications should be taken into account.
According to the firm’s analysis, EDF (EPA:EDF) secured 112 MWp of projects, followed by Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) with about 93 MWp.
The list of winners is available on the website of the ministry: https://www.ecologie.gouv.fr/sites/default/files/2022-098-AG-liste%20des%20laur%C3%A9ats%201er%20p%C3%A9riode%20PPE2%20sol.pdf
