Foresight Solar sees no threat from COVID-19 crisis

Foresight Solar Fund Ltd (LON:FSFL) today said that there are no indications that the coronavirus crisis will have a material impact on its operational or financial performance.

The closed-end investment company with nearly 900 MW of solar assets in the UK and Australia, also expressed confidence in the resilience of the business continuity plans that its providers have prepared. Following a thorough review, it said that adequate plans are in place and operational risks are minimised.

As no material impacts are foreseen due to the COVID-19 crisis, Foresight Solar reiterated its dividend target of GBP 0.0691 (USD 0.0843/EUR 0.0767) per share for 2020. The company has booked record asset availability and an above-budget performance from its UK assets in 2019 and their year-to-date operation has not been disrupted by the virus outbreak. It noted it does not currently budget any material impact on its cash flows.

Foresight Solar will continue to monitor the situation around the COVID-19 crisis and its potential impact on its portfolio.
