Etrion names VP for business development, M&A

Jul 24, 2012 - Swiss solar power group Etrion Corp (TSE:ETX, STO:ETX) said Monday it had appointed Giora Salita as executive vice president of business development and mergers and acquisitions.

Salita has more than 15 years of leadership experience in the green energy, technology and private equity sectors. Prior to joining Etrion, he served as vice president at US-based SunPower Corp (NASDAQ:SPWR). At SunPower, Salita oversaw the marketing, sales and business development teams and was responsible for project development, engineering, procurement and construction of large-scale solar projects.

Earlier in his career, Salita was one of the founders of Sunray Renewable Energy Ltd, a solar power developer focused on Europe and the Middle East, which was acquired by SunPower in 2010.
