ETH to increase sugar cane planted area in 2012/2013 crop year
Aug 3, 2011 - Brazilian biofuels producer ETH Bionergia plans to expand by 100,000 ha (247,105 acres) its sugar cane-planted area in crop year 2012/2013.
The company seeks to produce 3 billion litres (792.5m gallons) of ethanol and generate 2,700 GWh of electricity that year.
Today, ETH will start the construction of its Agua Emendada ethanol plant, in Perolandia, central Goias state.
The unit should enter in operation in November, with an output of 360 million litres of ethanol and 380 GWh of energy per crop year.
