November 6 (Renewables Now) - Dutch solar mounting systems supplier Esdec BV announced today it has taken over EcoFasten Solar, a US sector player that, similar to its new owner, specialises in components for rooftop installations.

The acquisition creates a company with more than 5 GWp of rooftop mounting systems installed across all of America and Europe.

Phoenix, Arizona-based EcoFasten manufactures watertight solar roof mounts and provides options for both rail-based and rail-free mounting. To date, the company has installed systems for more than 3 GWp in total.

The purchase comes after Esdec launched its FlatFix system for flat roofs on the American market in September 2017. The company noted it is currently investing heavily in sales and customer service from its US office in Atlanta, Georgia.
