Jun 24, 2022 18:49 CESTApril 12 (Renewables Now) - Eos Energy Enterprises Inc (NASDAQ:EOSE), a US provider of zinc-based energy storage solutions, said it has booked orders from customers working on renewables projects in Texas, California and India.
The customers’ demand boosts the company's backlog to around USD 30 million (EUR 25.2m), and includes over 20 orders totalling some 107 MWh over the past six months.
In Texas, Eos picked up an order from Chicago-based power plant operator Hecate Energy LLC, which is seeking to add a storage system to integrate renewable power and support the local grid. The company said the order is part of a broader arrangement to provide over 1 GWh of energy storage projects to Hecate Energy.
New Delhi-based independent power producer Azure Power Global Ltd (NYSE:AZRE) will deploy a storage solution as part of a large solar development in India. The company will install the Eos technology to provide solar shifting.
Lastly, the third order was placed by energy consulting firm ZGlobal Inc, which will pair storage with a solar project in California, Eos said.
