A tie-up of Greek renewables group Enteka SA and 547 Energy LLC, the clean energy platform of Quantum Energy Partners, is planning to build 400 MW of wind farms in Greece, business news portal Euro2day reports.
The capacity is intended to be installed in the Imathia regional unit of Central Macedonia and Peloponnese and is expected to require an investment totalling EUR 450 million. Construction activities are planned to be completed within two years.
According to the report, the partners will commence building 300 MW of wind parks in the Vermio mountainous areas in Imathia this summer. Those projects will be executed through a joint venture that will be majority-owned by 547 Energy.
About 100 MW of wind turbines will be sited in Peloponnese, with construction scheduled to begin around the end of 2022. Three project vehicles will be created for this purpose.
Enteka and 547 Energy are supposedly planning more wind projects, while details were not available. Back in 2020, the two companies were the winners in a Greek renewable energy tender and secured a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 153-MW wind project in Imathia and Kozani.
