Enel to help Ecuador create geothermal map - report

(SeeNews) - Dec 9, 2011 - Ecuador will create a map of its geothermal resources with help from Italian power group Enel SpA (BIT:ENEL), Ecuadorian news agency Andes reported today, quoting Ecuador's deputy minister of foreign trade, Francisco Rivadeneira.
Several Italian companies active in renewable energy have shown interest in Ecuador during a recent meeting with an Ecuadorian government delegation, including Silfab, Gransolar Chella and Power Oil System, Rivadeneira said.
The relations with Enel are more advanced and the cooperation for the map is a concrete result of this process, he added.
During the meeting, the delegation has presented Ecuadorian incentives for renewable energy projects.
