Enel Green obtains EUR-110m EKF loan for Chilean wind farm
Nov 13, 2012 - Italy's Enel Green Power (BIT:EGPW) today said it had arranged a 12-year loan of EUR 110 million (USD 140.7m) with Denmark's export credit agency EKF to cover part of the investments in its 90-MW Talinay wind farm in Chile.
The company has contracted Danish component manufacturers for the development and construction of the wind farm. The total investment for the completion of the wind farm is some USD 165 million, Enel Green said.
The loan bears an interest rate in line with the market benchmark and is guaranteed by Enel Green Power. This is the third EKF loan obtained by the company since October 2011.
US investment bank Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) is the agent and arranger of the loan.
