May 27 (Renewables Now) - Spanish utility Endesa SA (BME:ELE) said today that it has signed a ten-year electricity supply contract with supermarket chain Consum that incorporates a power purchase agreement (PPA) and renewable energy certificates.

Under the PPA, Consum procured 75 MW of solar energy coming from the portfolio of Endesa’s renewables unit Enel Green Power Espana. The contracted volume will cover around 50% of Consum’s demand for electricity.
