January 15 (Renewables Now) - German wind and solar park operator Encavis AG (ETR:CAP) announced on Monday the acquisition of the 14.1-MW Zierikzee solar park in the Dutch province of Zeeland from an undisclosed vendor.

Connected to the grid at the end of 2018, the Zierikzee solar park is selling its output under a 15-year deal for a fixed remuneration of almost EUR 0.11 (USD 0.13) per kWh.

Encavis expects the solar park to bring in annual revenues of EUR 1.4 million after the first full year of operation.

The total investment, including project-related financing costs, stood at EUR 10.6 million, with the vendor keeping а 10% interest in the park.

In addition to the latest purchase, Encavis also said its three solar parks acquired in 2018 have now been completed and connected to the Dutch grid. As a result, the company holds 106 MW of capacity in the Netherlands, including the recently-completed 43.9-MW Budel solar park.
