Photovoltaic (PV) project developer and operator Emeren Group (NYSE:SOL), formerly known as ReneSola Ltd, has offloaded a 58-MW portfolio of ready-to-build solar projects in Poland.
The bundle was sold to Spectris Energy, a unit of solar installer and power producer GoldenPeaks Capital, Emeren said on Tuesday. Financial details about the deal were not available.
The divested assets are located in Poland’s Pomerania Province, also known as Voivodeship Pomorskie. Under the arrangement, Spectris Energy will complete the construction of the plants and will be their long-term owner.
Emeren’s CEO Yumin Liu noted that the sale aligns with the group’s strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio and highlighted Emeren’s “strengthened” position in Poland, which is seen as “an especially attractive market” for the company.
ReneSola changed its name to Emeren in January following the acquisition of UK-based Emeren Ltd along with its portfolio of 2 GW of utility-scale solar projects and 500 MW of energy storage schemes a few months earlier.
