August 27 (Renewables Now) - Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (BVMF:ELET3), or Eletrobras, announced last week it has concluded the transfer of its shares in 187 MW of wind farms in Brazil to J. Malucelli Project Manager and Risk Analysis Ltda.
Under the terms of the agreement, J. Malucelli is buying the remaining 49% in three special purpose entities (SPEs) for a little over BRL 178.26 million (USD 42.89m/EUR 38.62m).
More specifically, the firm is taking full control of Rei dos Ventos 3 Geradora de Energia SA, Brasventos Eolo Geradora de Energia SA and Brasventos Miassaba 3 Geradora de Energia SA. According to the approval given by local antitrust watchdog Cade, these companies manage wind parks with respective capacities of 60.1 MW, 58.4 MW and 68.5 MW.
