EDPR to sell 260 MW of Brazilian wind parks to Copel

EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR), or EDP Renewables, has signed a deal to sell two operating wind farms in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte totalling 260 MW to Companhia Paranaense de Energia (NYSE:ELP), better known as Copel.
The Brazilian electric utility is buying the two plants for an estimated enterprise value of BRL 1.8 billion (USD 347m/EUR 352m), to be adjusted at closing. The transaction is pending regulatory clearance.
The seller did not give more details about the assets being divested.
EDPR is pursuing EUR 8 billion (USD 7.89bn) of proceeds under its asset rotation programme for the period 2021-2025. It said that this latest deal brings the current total to EUR 3.4 billion.
